This hurts my heart and brings tears to my eyes. How very sad. Your experience with him was beautiful, and so is this photograph of him. I'm truly sorry for your pain and that this happened.

Thank you, I truly appreciate your kindness. I miss him so very much,he took a piece of my heart with him when he died. Your extra star honors me as well as his memory.

What a beautiful capture and an even more beautiful, albeit saddening story attached. A magnificent creature and so sad they shoot them. Well done and good luck in the contest

What a beautiful capture of this personable buck, Bullseye. He looks so innocent, like almost begging, "Save me. Take me home, friend. I have known you all this time..." What a beautiful but sad story you tell. He is beautiful as are his surroundings, his habitat for now.

You are most welcome. Beautiful deer that would also make a good painting. Finally, I uploaded my Christmas related painting not as late, before voting.

So sorry to hear about this sad story.
He was so good to get photograph of and bond you formed is rare and so beautiful. It shows in the photographs and it does shows as a tribute of his life here on earth.
Thank you for sharing.

Well that is just sad, perhaps you should have spread the word that this buck was not to be touched as he was too friendly, Even though I love to eat venison, when they become like a pet it is hard to hear that someone shot him, I hope you can forgive that person and remember him with all your beautiful photos, I hope he has babies maybe you can get to see

Thank you, unfortunately this hunter owns the property behind ours, but does not live there, he lives about an hour away. We don?t have a recent phone number, and the only way we know he is down is if we happen to drive by his property and see a vehicle there. My husband hunts deer, but on his cousin?s property, not ours, as our deer are like extended family.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of Bullseye. Sorry to learn of his passing. Like the pose you got and the location. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well taken!

The beauty of this is in the telling. It brought tears- and was a beautiful tribute to a beautiful creature, sadly taken by human hands. Why must beauty and magnificence not be allowed to exist? For reasons of ego- the downfall of man. God bless Bullseye and you for loving him.

What a beautiful powerful looking buck in the prime of his life, now nothing more than a post scrip casually offered by a dinner patron over Venison.

I am so sorry for your loss ... Bob P B-((

This is a poignant narrative and it's sad we allow hunting as an activity. I am deeply touched on learning about the kind of beautiful bond you shared with the hunted bullseye!! This photograph is extra special in that sense due to this strong emotion behind it. Bullseye is also captured in such a majestic posture in a natural setting of the forest. Kudos for sharing this lovely photograph and best wishes for the contest

A beautiful buck and a beautiful memory too. I like this shot that captures both his wild majesty and his look of acceptance. Best of luck in the contest.
