What a grand way to see the world by luxury liner must have been. During the War she was a gallant ship willing to sail in harms way. And now a hotel and museum attraction
You have captured her strong and resolute persona in the twilight of her years. Excellent low light capture. great color balance from the ambient light.

Wow...famous Queen Mary Cruise Liner would be a site to see and how magnificent she is, as seen in your image. Unfortunately these days Cruises are a rare thing. The tug shows just how big she is. Great night shot with the beams shining high.

Of course the whole ship would have been better,but this still shows us enough of the ship to know how elegant it looks in this,think it being at night also makes it look better...Brian

this is a more than perfect shot as you took it at a moment a normal ship is present to show this outstanding huge Mother Mary 1 title - there are so many special details, and I am wondering why you think it is dramatic lol - the energy radiating out are exceptional - the tiny piece of the border in the background is outstanding - the tiny one seems to by from a different universe - all is excellent and of course your reaction and frame choice taken at the perfect day time with such a special natural color combination is aaaaaawesome,

Beautiful photography of a stunning scene with the purple tints on the Queen Mary 1 cruse liner. So clear for it to be captured at night. Vivid oranges and blues, including the outstanding capture of the smaller boat with the red and blues. Really like the rays going forth into or from the sky.

A beautiful picture of the Queen Mary 1 on her Dock in Longbeach, California, that for me brings back memories of the night I spent on her & the tour of the ship also brought back memories of my Family's return from Durban to Liverpool on the H.M.T. Mauretania in May 1945 when I was just 5yrs old. The ship had been taken over by the government to bring Troops & there families home after the war. The hum of the engines, the cabins the ballroom etc all evoked long hidden memories. It's wonderfu she is now a Hotel rather than being sent to the Scrap Yard to be broken up. Beautiful composition, framing & atmospheric lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
