This is a very special creation where we can see so well all the details of this artwork that it becomes attractive as your color choice is excellent on this face with a stunning expression - a very nice presentation with a super content and excellent background - all the best for the contest

I certainly like all the different shades of blue you chose to create here. I like the impressionistic style of painting on the background with a fine you h of realism on the details of the birds features.
Nicely done :)

Very impressive if this is only your second try Cleo - I struggle to do stick figures let alone produce a bird with such a wonder eye. Colors are great - did you know that the only color for wild budgerigars is green - Very enjoyable to view and a good entry into contest.

Thank you. It was my second try with my new set of watercolours. In the past I used cheap childrens watercolours but been doing some tutorials and bought some professional quality and there is such a difference. When I was a child we had 2 budgies, one blue and one green. I hope to do Green Pete next time .. I appreciated much your remarks

Lovely and vibrant blues. Like the bird much especially the featherwork in front. The washes are really nice as is the vibrant limb he stands on and the green frame-like. The eye is nice.

This is incredibly beautiful. You painted this blue Chloe stupendously well. It's such a gorgeous blue dominance in the composition!! You crafted the elements in watercolours with such finesse!! Kudos and best wishes for the contest. To me, this painting is at the very top and deserves my six stars

A very good looking nature image posted here! As a young lad of many years ago I was allowed a male and female combination of budgies. Your fine painting allows me many fond memories. Well painted!

Thank you for your review and sharing your memories. I too as a child had budgie pets. (Also many years ago)

This is a beautiful piece and a wonderful entry for this contest. The bird is well rendered with good shape and structure , it's a pretty pose n the tree branch , well defined feathers face and beak, nice light in the eye. The blue background with the greenery frames the bird perfectly.
Well created, arranged and presented! This is bright and cheerful to view! Best wishes to you in this contest!

This is an interesting bird. Its colors and markings are impressive. I like the impressionist touch which allows some realistic details. The pose is intriguing. I have the impression that the bird is listening to somebody and makes its opinions. The watercolor is well composed. The colors are attractive. The bird is excellent placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

Thank you. Yes you are right. Budgerigars are pets in England like a very small parrot and they talk. They listen with their head on one side, a typical pose, they copy all noises and usually very tame .

Talented work that is an excellent entry to the contest! I like the finite details you have achieved and the gentle, loving expression in this bird's eye. Well done and best of luck!
