Your shot is interesting. The pose and the careful transport of the little fish are intriguing. It looks as if the Heron wants to use the rocks as table. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the realism of light and color and the refinement of detail. The mixed media is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Wow. What a great entry for the Outdoors Photo contest.
This one has just about everything. The placement of the main is well placed commanding the scene. The focus is pinpoint sharp on the heron while the slightly out of focus rocks add to the sharp quality of the image.
The colors are natural and well rendered. The action captured is what really makes this one a winner in my book.

Wow. What a great entry for the Outdoors Photo contest.
This one has just about everything. The placement of the main is well placed commanding the scene. The focus is pinpoint sharp on the heron while the slightly out of focus rocks add to the sharp quality of the image.

This photo just shows that you were on the spot at the exact right time, and you have pictured this great blue with his catch so well. It is lovely the way the bird is posing for you. He is also standing out from the softened background in an excellent way.
The photo is very sharp, and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen both in the feathers of the bird and the little fish. The exposure is spot on.

Willie ... This bird take is absolutely gorgeous. I will wager that this post is a good as the #1 shooters bird takes are. I honestly can't find any aspect of this super take that can be improved. All the anatomy of the bird and the fish are is ultra high relief - marvelous.
