Wow, what beautiful painting that shows great details of the forest with good abstract details.

Enchanted forest and the colors that are coming through are so nice to view.
Bob, abstract paintings that you are creating are always different and enjoyable for the viewer.

The technique suits you so well with the talent that comes to you so naturally.

The flashes of orange colors could be a late sunset light; and it is adding to the overall feel so nicely.
Thank you for sharing your artwork.

A fascinating nature image posted here! Looks more like an exotic jungle than a forest to me!! Colours, textures and tones are good. Would not care to be walking through there for too long! Nicely created!

Nice composition of colorful, abstract trees like with colors running upon, from around and the floor of the forest. Nice abstract palette knife painting. The flash of color achieves your intentions. It is lovely, maybe a little busy in trees.

Glenna, again thank you for the complements in your review. My intentions are to give you a little information, a splash of color here and there, and the rest is up to you. Thats abstract.

Welcome. I am understanding abstract more and more since being here and try to review on that style. Yet yours has some realism in the abstract. That's possible?
reply by the author on 14-Jan-2022
The illusions of abstract sometimes appear to be real but of course they are not. Have you ever seen trees like those vertical objects? Probably not. When you view some of my paintings you will see that I create something that looks almost real or something you can say that you can relate to, almost. At that point, Your mind takes over from then on and creates the story. Example, using this painting, The orange swarth at the bottom convinces your mind that these are trees growing in a jungle or a forest, and not a bunch of randomly painted thin cut lumber laying up against a wall in a storage area. On the Edge, the title, is meant to suck you in and once you are in keep you curious. I hope that my explanation makes sense to you. I am into abstract fantasy, where nothing is real and nothing to get hung about ( I took that from the Beatles ). all the best to you and thank you for all your support. Ray G.

It's a beautiful composition and it makes for such a lovely viewing experience. It's a gorgeous cocktail of colours and it does conjure such a fascinating image of a forest belt . I love the abstract finish and it's imaginative feel. Kudos

That's Very Cool,Ray!
Your 'abstract forest' has a nice 'Darkly Mysterious' kind of look which is something that I like Very Much!
'Good Show',my friend!

Sean, thank you for the fine review. I am so glad you enjoy it. Dark and mysterious it is. The colored members draws you in and the darken area was meant to create the depth.

Wonderful painting, great use of colors. You can tell you are standing at the edge of what seems to be enchanted forest. You have added great depth to your painting.

Thank you for the fine review. I am glad that you enjoy it. It was a painting that all of a sudden came together and I knew I had to stop. The best part is it's not real it's abstract and the verticals control the depth as the dark draws you in.

Your painting is interesting. The unusual colors add an intriguing surreal mood. The colors are attractive and in harmony with each other. The artwork is well composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

Well you have certainly accomplished what you set out to, I immediately saw a forest as soon as I opened this one. It appears to be a forest in early autumn with the colors just starting to turn. This is so pretty to view, I like the way you show the light playing upon this forest, highlighting bits and pieces of each tree and it's foliage.
I like the way you filled the page! Well created, beautifully arranged and presented!
