I am thinking the meeting spot would be the lighthouse. I like the colors used. The blue seems like it could be the oven not sure about the rest of the colors.

Welcome to FAN art review. I am a fantasy and abstract artist, and sometimes a realist. So this is fantasy abstract, anything you want it to be, The title is just my idea of this non-reality. Sandbox rules, If you enjoy the piece, the colors, the theme, or technique, that would be a five (5) even if you had questions. If you felt that the piece is outstanding in color, theme or technique, that would be a six. I did the same as you on my first review, then I reviewed the rules and those kind enough to guide me. Check reviews and you will see how others review. All the best to you Melissa. Ray

Looks like a meeting of all the primary and secondary colours. Looks like the result of the meeting was electing the head of the group. I see the formation of a blue head. Interesting creation. ! Thanks for sharing!

This has such a festive feel, I also get a sense of motion here , as I study closer I actually see a large face looking through the colors , the eyes especially are standing out and the lips are as if this face is blowing a dandelion seed head .
Very interesting Ray, I like the way these types of paintings can be interpreted in so many different ways.
Well presented! Always a pleasure to view!

This looks like a party. The colors seem to dance, and I see several excited faces and creatures within them. I like how the colors flow through the painting. The small black shapes emphasize the vivid colors excellently. The abstract is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

A very colourful journey Ray and quite a pretty result colour wise. The method has given an unusual effective texture ... I like to look at your work before reading title and notes and my first impression was a figure, then I saw a bird's back and tail.. now when I know your title, I see a rocket and that must be your next journey. Nice and i teresting work.

A good looking image posted here with an intriguing title too. Your fine and full composition suggests to me that a meeting of minds is taking place, but they are disagreeing! Colours, textures and tones are good. Well created!

I haven't painted in about four decades now,Ray ( I've just never been comfortable with the medium! ) ,so rather than try offering you some 'professional sounding' critique I'll just say that I honestly like the look and the tone of 'The meeting' very much!

Sean, Thank you for the positive review and it is much appreciated. There was a time in my past that I put down the brush for a while because of frustration, then I realized that I like creativity but I didn't pick up the brush, I went for the palette knife and never looked back, but that's me. I am pleased that you like 'The Meeting'.

Whether one can see this representation of the meeting or not, it is very well done with acrylics straight from the tube and with your knife. Like your using colors straight from the tube, concentrating on the complementaries of each. Skilled painting! Vibrant colors!

This is a really beautiful creation. From a distance I can see the outline of head and neck, the figure is leaning on the right hand. I think its beautiful how you used these colours together, especially with the sharp edges the pallet knife made, in some areas it looks almost geometric. But don't under estimate the use of black, it can really make a piece stand out with contrast...I can't wait to see where your next journey takes you...Thanks for sharing

Tis my pleasure to share my art with you. Thanks for the review. I don't underestimate the use of black and I agree to what you say. Black draws your eye in and commands your attention. Black has a strength all its own and now I incorporate it when needed. I am an out of the tube painter so paints I use are layered and they are visually mixed by the observer eventually they become black. See you at the next journey.
