Wow! This has such a powerful initial impact , there is so much to take in in this scene. The sky is amazing here with the thick clouds bringing darkness as if a storm is on the way, I like the way they frame the top portion of the sky and are covering the top portion of the sun, blocking the light. The sun is about to set and it's such a vibrant orange tone just above the horizon, I like also the bright light moving up just above the sun. There is a nice sense of motion in the water and the wave that is rolling in is capped in the white froth, the motion is well stopped .I like the way the light bounces across the water and all the way up to the large rock in left foreground , that light allows a good look at the texture on the rock and calls attention to the rock to the right with such an interesting shape and some smaller rocks alongside of it.
This is of course, well focused, this image is sharp and clear, lighting is well managed, the colors and tones are realistic.
This is well composed and presented! Your narrative is interesting and thought provoking, to discover a scene such as this in space would be incredible! This is amazing Steve and truly a pleasure to view!

You have picked out the things that I did in after photo to create this scene. I find this such a creative outlet. It is very encouraging that a great photographer like you notices the details.

Hi Steve!
That's a very attractive photograph that you've presented us with,my friend!
Those filter effects that you've applied to it give it a classic 'Beginning Stages of Planet Earth' kind of a look like one of the paintings that Charles R. Knight created in the early twentieth century for display at the American Museum of Natural History down in NYC!
COOL!
~Sean

    Hey Sean,

Thanks so much for your cool review and commentary.

Yes this one turned out to be pretty cool. I go lucky. I feel that this is a creative outlet for me since I can't draw like you. But I have started oil painting lessons. Can't remember if I told you that. I am really learning a lot.

Thanks again my friend for your review and great rating ~ Steve

You are the champion of pics of sea sky, Steve, regardless of the galaxy,. Superb lighting and color and composition makes this shine forth,. At first glance there foreground rock looks bit like a sea lion. Very well done, my friend. Ed.

This seascape is gorgeous. The sky colors and their reflections are fascinating. How the light reflects on the rocks at the foreground is intriguing. Your photo has impressive depth, is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. I enjoy the beauty of color and light and the refinement of textures and detail. The seascape is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

This is a wow presentation again with so many, different details in a natural place that it is outstanding, as even the clouds are so special as they touch each other exactly in front of the sun and even the natural piece in front has such special forms that it looks like being alive - this presentation is unique, excellent and very attractive, congratulations

A good looking nature image posted here together with interesting notes. Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of the beautiful dusk developing before you. Wonder where in the world this is? Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Well created!

Thanks a lot Nik for your great review. I know I took this somewhere in Mexico so I am going to guess I took it in Puerto Vallarta. I am not good at remembering where I shoot these ocean scenes. Thank you again Nik ~ Steve

Ahhh, the wispy heavens and the foaming shore, nice combo. And there the sun dips down behind the dark clouds as it is setting. Nice arrangement Ray G..

You might be right on that steve or maybe not,who knows but in regards to the photo the sky really is interesting and although the forshore is dark it sort of adds to the general feel of this..Brian

A beautiful image that is well composed. The breaking waves are great and the colors are excellent. I like the digital interventions with the exception of those wispy streaks that seem to eminate from the upper corners.
