Great silhouette and reflection. You even caught another windmill in the far distance. Hope that they live forever. The sky and clouds make a lovely lighted background and show off some small trees across the canal and on the left bank

Well, photographed with good focus , this image is clear, lighting is well managed, the upper right corner is a bit bright and I like the reflection of the brightness in lower right corner.
Colors and tones appear true and natural.

Well, photographed with good focus , this image is clear, lighting is well managed, the upper right corner is a bit bright and I like the reflection of the brightness in lower right corner.
Colors and tones appear true and natural.

Wow I've been missing out on all the very good photographs, especially this wonderful photograph of a windmill with pretty sunrise in soft neutral tones. The neutral tones add character and depth to the to the silhouette of the windmill in very pleasant dark tones. Great clarity and presentation for a very..., very lovely photograph. Have been to this place on a coach trip but only had 2 hours there [not long enough] although i like this i think it might have been slightly better had it was been a total silhouette and although you can,t see much details in this think that would have been the way to go,plus a bit off centre would have improved it,but its still okay for me,i always try if i have time to take different positions and swap between vertical/horizontal shots,i know in my mind had i had more time i would have got better images when i was there...Brian

i do like your approach having the windmill silhouette against the skyview. does give the viewer a sense of mystery. i do like your angel of this capture having the sun in the top right corner giving way the cloud shapes across the image. the clarity is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. creative approach and great job overall.

This is a delightful post of this historic energy generator. I find myself wondering if this one is still functional as the arms seem a bit short, especially the right one unless this is an illusion. I guess I will have to research the history and current status of these old Dutch Windmills!
