Wow! It's amazing to see the lions in their natural habitat , I like the way they are posed at the water hole, the deer in the distance must be afraid as it looks at these formidable animals . The lions seem to be focused on their baths.
Well captured to tell this incredible story, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is good, colors and tones appear natural,
Well composed and presented!

Did you watch this scene long enough to see if the doe manged to get out of there safely?? This is a lovely shot of these big cats. I hope the water was wholesome -- it looks like the water hole might be a bit chalky like the sand or white earth in which it is situated. Another lovely, well captured wildlife photo!

I would have not seen the doe if I hadn't read your notes. The lionesses in the foreground attract my attention, demand it almost. A great shot of these animals in the wild. It must have been a thrill to see them close up. Thanks for sharing

Ha ha- yes, there is that distant doe which dare not venture a yard closer. Not one, she has to contend with four carnivores otherwise!! Why invite such trouble!! Lol. Lovely click with bit of amusement loaded in it. Kudos

A discrete doe. I am sure these lionesses wouldn't mind sharing their waterhole. A great image that shows how a waterhole in such arid land can draw a crowd.

I bet that do did not feel for coming too close with these for lionesses around the watering whole. I suppose it has to wait to get a drink until they had disappeared. You have captured these drinking beauties really well, and all of them are standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp with clear and well defined details in the animals, the colors are nice and natural, and the exposure is perfect.
The cropping is working well, and the lionesses are well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

we were as usual in an open landrover; the lions were not interested in us, fortunately; they prefered to take a refreshing drink; lol;
thank so much again for your nice detailed comments;

Fred,
A beautiful & interesting picture of the four Lionesses at the water hole one her head turned to watch you. In the far distance what looks like a Springbok ready to run off as soon as the Lionesses look up from the water hole. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Looks like soon she will be in the stomach of these big cats. Poor thing! Hopefully, she will outrun them. Good observation. Good shot. Thanks for sharing!
