Nice timing to capture this pose , it appears to be enjoying the warmth of the sun.
Well laced within the frame, well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural.

What a beautiful capture of this sunning heron,it could either be doing yoga or trying to get better reception! I have only seen herons doing this twice, both times last year. Colors are gorgeous, excellent focus, exposure, sharp clear eye, and the beautiful blue sky in the background. An excellent capture with this one perched up on a branch,making it a great entry for this contest, best wishes to you!

Definitely a different pose or this grey heron. Not sure what it is trying to do: dry wings or as you say simply sunbathing.

This is indeed a peculiar view and pose of this heron!! He seems to be meditating lol! A human would fold their legs, I suppose a heron would fold their wings lol.
