Very cool creature here!! I have never heard of this species. It really does look like a leaf, more so than a walking stick looks like a stick!! Thanks for sharing the cool facts about it too!!

What an intriguing butterfly , I actually thought it was a leaf, nature is truly amazing ! I can't get over how much this looks like a tattered leaf.
Well captured with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is good, the colors and details on butterfly are good. Well composed and presented!

Another of your marvelous wildlife shots! (Does this calassify as macro?) If there were a contest for camouflage I'd vote for this one. How the DNA of this amazing insect evolved would surely be worth studying -- how did it know it could copy a leaf!!!??? A great many thanks for sharing!

Wow, that is quite an interesting looking butterfly,it does indeed resemble a dead leaf with definite veining that would fool any would be predator. I can see the legs and part of the body and antenna. Must have been quite interesting to have seen this in person and photograph it. It's a great, well taken photo,and I really appreciate your informative notes on this unusual butterfly!
