Gator on the Loose

Crocodile's, Alligator's or Caiman's, they're all 95 million year old leftovers from the Late cretaceous period.

Very good detail of the 'gator'. Head and eye are in sharp focus. Camera settings are correct. Colors appear natural.

Well framed and exposed ... Bob

As long as I'm not on the menu for lunch I'm cool! Love that you saw this gator in such crystal clear water. It allows us to really see him above and beneath the water. Very nice shot for the reptile contest! Good Luck! :o) Helvi

Really good photography of this reptile. You captured it and its movement, including that of the water's so well. Nice work indeed and witty title. Best wishes in the contest.

Well I can tell you with great certainty that there are no crocodiles in Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Only Alligators. We have over 1.25 million Gators here in Florida and only a little over 1000 Crocodiles.
Most of my Photos come from this Wetlands as it is very close to my home.
Nice angle and lucky for you this young Gator was near the boardwalk for you to get a nice capture.

    Wakodahatchee and Green Cay plus several other natural areas are close to my home. I just prefer going on rain days or when cold fronts blow in.. less tourists around.
    Plus I go when the first open or before they close to get a parking spot.

A very nice shot. The diagonal placement of your subject is very attractive and I like the half submerged view. Very nice details and great colors. Best of luck in the contest.

you should have gone much closer to the water and you would find the answer to your question; fortunately for you, the American aligators are much less aggressive than the true African crocodiles;

Very nicely caught and presented here. It's not often you see them in clear water and see how sleek they are in the water. Hunting for lunch, Well done

A very special content with this swimming croc in such a great position that it seems you did it from the sky as this distance and special angle is excellent from above
A great cropped, reciting frame choice, so all is in perfect harmony
a very good contest entry - all the best of luck xoxo
