I find this to be very overwhelming it's so in your face large rose petals I feel like I'm seeing arms coming from out of the middle I feel a sense of being underwater almost like I'm drowning or this picture is drowning it's very isolating it gives the appearance of entrapment I find this to be disturbing it's a very in-your-face

I am concern about you; the imagination you are expressing are signs of a deeper issues than seeing a photograph of gladiolus.

This is the very perfect title as all are flowers but at the same time they look like a girl and an animal which is really outstanding - this black and white choice and application creates even more details and your cropped frame choice is more than perfect as it is very harmonious as well as the contrast and lighting

It is a beautiful gladiolus you have pictured here, and I like so much your vantage point and the close and personal approach. I especially like the smoke effect you have added to the background, and how the light seems to shine through the outer petals of the flower. This is making them look almost transparent, and the photo dreamy.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined detail to be seen in the petals and the stamens of the flower. The exposure is very good, and it is fine distinctions between light and dark.
I also like the format you have cropped the photo into and the placement of the gladiolus within the frame. I think this is a truly beautiful and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Your use of the sun as a backlight was a brilliant application of natural light, but using the vignette algorithm was/is simply genius.
Filtered light through any leaf is a magnificent display of natures detail and textures. This shot could well serve as a prime example of what filtered light can do - look at the fine detail in the leaves. I really appreciate the subtle long scale contrast of this composition.
The flower is comfortably positioned along the vertical central third of the frame - easy eye catching presentation.
This is a masterpiece and I think I am looking at the winner ... Bob
