N extremely colourful and well composed rendition of this foraging bird.
Subject well lit ,plumage clearly defined, and back ground draws attention to the bird.

This is one beautiful bird. The crown is remarkable and the wings have matched black and white stripes. Thank you for sharing this picture and all the fine information. Ray G.

Is this part bird/zebra/tiger? Lol..were they playing with genetics? Lol .I swear I never seen a critter like this before .lol..the clarity is great. The capture of the light is great. The angle of the shot of this colorful bird is great. The presentation is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

What a strange looking bird Fred, but also very pretty with the lovely head feathers. The light is falling on it in such a lovely way, and it is also standing out from the green grass in an excellent way.

Your focus was spot on and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The exposure is just perfect.

I also like the format you have cropped the photo into and the placement of the bird off to the left. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

These birds look so prehistoric! A beautiful capture. Well placed in the framed, light and colors are natural. It's a fine catch with a beautiful subject .

Wow! What a strange looking bird. I have never seen one of these before. Image looks really sharp and focus is spot on. I like that you have more of a behavior shot, rather than the bird looking into the camera. Very nice work.

Unusual or unique bird name and appearance. Nice capture of it all, the browns and beiges/yellowish-browns, blacks, and whites in the bird itself; lush grasses, so much that would be even nicer to remove that leaf.

Definitely an interesting bird, love the black and white wing feathers, as well as that 'spotted crown' it so regally wears. Looks like it's busy looking for something to eat. A great photo of this intriguing bird, and nicely informative artists notes to go along with it!

Wow, I have never seen a bird like this, it is so pretty! It looks like its head is part cheetah and its feathers are zebra, so so cool! Sure wish they had some where I live.
