What a great image of this Blue Heron. The focus is pinpoint sharp. The colors are natural and the feathers have an eye catching texture.
The portrait pose works very well. Placement of the bird in the frame is spot on with good cropping.
The background water works well as it emphasizes the main subject. This would have been an excellent entry Ito a bird or nature contest.

he says this is his best side. now he want a 11x16 and a few 8x10's..oh yeah a few sheet of wallets size as well..he has lots of friends...wink..lol. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of this bird posing is great. the capture of the light is great. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

A beautiful profile portrait of the Great Blue Heron in it's breeding plumes it's eyes fixed on something in the water. The pale sky reflected on the water creates a beautiful backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

It certainly is a close-up of the blue heron. Especially like the dark blues that are in it, along with the move vivid whites. The water with its circle-like movement is nice too.
