What a beautiful visitor with colors that blend with the bark of the tree so nicely. Great moment to capture !
Wonderful colors, details, especially on the owl's face and feathers.
Nice placement within the frame and overall pleasing presentation.
Good luck in the contest.

thanks, so in your opinion is this blurry?, I had another reviewer claim that if you didnt say it was blurry your were blind, I need your opinion before I comment on his review

With the resizing it can never show perfectly. It doe look fine to me. The colors of the tree and the owl are so similar and that what makes this a very unique presentation.

thanks so much for your feed back, I think he is a little rude, hes done this before to me lol,,,

That's a wonderful photo of this (usually ) nocturnal raptor and the image show's off the creature's natural camouflage very nicely!

I love birds very much and your picture is outstanding as this bird seems to sleep but your close up angle and position is so excellent that we can see all sections of this body in such fantastic details that it really makes me happy to see it
A great presentation with a super natural color combination, excellent sharpness and es a super piece for the contest, congratulations xoxo

A reasonable looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an OK view of that lovely owl. Why "barred"? Exposure is fine, but I feel your image is not sharp enough. Other wise a nice tray and good luck!

The owl blends in with the tree .
Well focused , the image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural.
Well composed and presented! Best wishes to you in this contest!

thanks, yes I have never seen one before, the crows were not nice to this bird, they chases it away eventually
Comment from Aunty Jan
Your little owl is beautiful. I like the feather details, and the fact that he is sleeping(maybe) in the crook of that branch. The bark is nicely displayed. He could blend right in.

yes, he was tired from fighting off the crows, they were not liking him/her at all, thanks for the review

You are welcome. Poor baby. I hope he escaped. Those crows can be aggressive.

Lise,
A beautiful picture of the Barred Owl perched on a lichen patched branch near the tree's trunk it's eye half closed & it's beautiful brown & white plumage blending in with the colours in the tree trunk, so providing it with some degree of camouflage. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
