The reflection you have captured from this lovely bird in the shiny water is so well captured Willie, and I also like a lot the warm, soft and inviting light. The same light is falling so lovely on the bird, and it is standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in the feathers of the bird. The white balance and exposure is perfect.
I also like the way you have cropped the photo and the placement of the bird off to the left. I think this is a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Nice one willie for a reflection contest and although its a bit darkish the whiteness of the bird shows up enough detail to make for an interesting photo,nicely taken photo....Brian

A beautiful picture of the Great White Egret wading thigh high in the river on which it's reflection, along with the vegetation along the bank & the blue sky above on it's mirror light surface. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A good entry for the Reflection Photo Contest.
Placement of the bird in the frame is good as the horizontals and verticals are spot on.
The background colors serve well to give emphasis to the main subject.
The whites re a tad bright but not a bid show stopper.
I wish you all the best in the judging.
