Love this image. Clear and focused. We don't have many fox around by us, the ones we do have are covered in mange or are sickly. Awesome image, thanks for sharing it!

Thank you so much Lynnmarie , for your lovely review ! I am honored by your six star rating! The wildlife here that I have seen all appear to be quite healthy, that makes me happy!

This is a fantastic wildlife shot. My guess it is zoomed in and handheld. With that, it is very sharp. I like the blue sky in the upper right as a complementary color to the fox. I wonder how you got the fox to pose so well! : )

Wow, I love this one! I love the detail on a tough, shy subject up close. Great crop, exposure, and natural color. Congratulations on the capture!

Excellent. Fantastic. You even have catch light in his eyes. What was the length of lens you used? How far away were you? have you seen this guy before and figured out were he could be at a particular time of day?

Thank you so very much! I used a 70-300 mm lens and I am guessing the fox was about 35 feet away, yes, my daughter and son in law live up on the hillside, they keep me posted on the animals that come through, they had a family of coyotes last week and a black bear yesterday!

Very interesting. I was thinking you used a 600mm. You got pretty close to this guy. You have first hand what is around. Where you live the animals must be around also. But, by your daughters you set up and wait. Sweet.

I would think you used a 600mm. So close at 35 feet. Good to have your daughter tell you what is going on. Excellent photo.

Yes, it?s awesome but causes a lot of worry, they are right up there and frequently get bears during spring and summer, their security camera picked up a bear sow and her cubs right on the steps to their deck. . Where I live we get a lot of moose.

My late wife loved moose. Her cousin lives in Anchorage. He talks about the moose walking around. By me we have the woods a block away. So deer come out at night and walk around. My dog go nuts barking and barking at them.

I'm a volunteer photographer for the Big Run Wolf Ranch in Lockport Ill. They are licensed just like a zoo. The handlers take a wolf out of the large cage. The speaker tells the audience that the wolves are not pets. They are wild animals that cannot be be in the wild. Very interesting. Every time I hear the speech I learn a little more about wolves and the other animals on the ranch.

Everything about this is clear and beyond perfect.

What a wonderful shot Pat.

The look is so natural yet so telling.

Those eyes tell a story that we can never fully understand.

This is a wonderful close up portrait of this fox! I like how the fur kind of blurs out around the edges and almost blends in with the snow and clouds. You focused perfectly on the eyes. I love his pose and the expression on his face. Very nicely done!
