Nice painting of this grackle. His eye and expression stand out nicely, they are very clear. The blue in the sky is both vibrant and calming. The tree branches are a beautiful green and they contrast well. Great composition. Thanks for sharing

A wonderful portrayal of this grackle with the arresting yellow eyes! We have grackles here, love to see the iridescence on their feathers when the sun shines on them. Like your image with the bug in his beak and his head turned as he's perched on an evergreen branch with a lovely blue sky behind him.

What a lovely effect you have achieved with this well constructed bird and prey against the blue sky. Much detail to enjoy. There is a realism within the brush strokes. There is texture. The colour pallet is beautifully rendered to create the dark tones and highlights of foliage. The painting is quite delightful.

A very fine painting. The setting is beautiful and the colors are excellent. I like the typical glowing eye of the grackle and am a little surprised that with so much detail in the eye, I can't quite make out what he has caught.

You've created a beautiful digital art painting here, Cleo, showing the great tailed grackle with the prey in its beak. Thank you for the interesting notes accompanying this, too. Love how you've painted the foliage in the trees and the feathers look most realistic, all set off perfectly by the pale blue sky. Great composition. Suzanne

Amazing to know that this is a digital painting of the grackle with prey, the grackle is so well shaped and structured, impressive to study the smallest details, I love the eye! The prey stands out as well. I like the way you posed the bird up on the tree branch near the top, it actually looks as if you are looking up at the bird .
The blue sky makes the perfect background , I appreciate the realism there too with the white clouds .
Well created, beautifully arranged and presented!

This is pretty cool, now can you keep this, I never use this type of medium as I want to see and touch my painting once its done and frame it. But the techniques are cool, especially the pine needles
