An awesome image that really looks like it wqs taken on some alien planet. The lighting is great and the colors are fantastic. A very fine scene.

a very strange capture Steve and a very appropriate title indeed; it looks as if it was taken on another planet; wonderful colors; it is certainly worth a six*;

Looks like something out of a horror movie. Nice creation with appropriate colors and images matching the title. Especially like the fiery-like sea and background greens.

    Welcome. Sounds fine and best wishes with the book. Perhaps you will do one with such fine alien drawings. My sister is a Childrens' book writer, several of them in audio and some of them are alien based. Her name is Retha Joan Shortridge.

    Thanks for the thought. Drawing or promoting something like tis is far beyond my rudimentary capabilities. I am still on "stick man 101" in my art classes. I would love to see this done by someone who knows what they are doing. I bet Retha could do a very good work of it. A children's book of otherworldly seas and oceans could be a wonderful way to expand their imaginations and possibilities.

    Yes indeed. But don't undersell yourself. This is very creative. And you could do it, I believe.

A good looking image posted here! Your fine, full and appropriate composition does offers us a good view of a stormy coastline on another planet. Colours, textures and tones are good. Well created!

This is indeed a dramatic looking photo with the ominous dark sky, and I especially like the splashing water in the foreground. I also like the light around the rock on the left, and also how lovely the light is falling on the rough sea.

The photo is sharp showing clear details and fine textures in the rocks. The exposure is perfect.

The format is very good, and I like the way the rocks on each side are working as a nice and natural framing. It is a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a great looking and well taken photo Steve, and with an excellent DOF.

Your mixed media creation is extraordinary. The sea seems indeed boiling, even burning at the horizon. The red reflection on the water looks like flames. The foam between the looks like boiling milk. This looks indeed like an alien world. The glowing halo around the small rock at left is breathtaking. The dark cloudy sky emphasizes the alien appearance of the boiling sea. Your photo has good depth and is excellent focused, exposed and treated with mixed media. The alien seascape is perfect composed and framed. The composition is balanced.

What are the amazing capture of a raging sea. It feels rather dark to me and I wonder what time of day you took it. It has an ominous effect and I love the reflections in the water in the background. Great job

    Thank you Jewell for your review. This is one of the images I am going to use in a book "Alien Seas" here on FAR. I made it dark to depict drama of a sea on an alien planet. I may have to lighten certain portions as it may be a bit too dark. Thank you again Jewell for your review ~ Steve
