This is a really beautiful image!! I can see why you got the honorable mention...but I would have thought you to have placed...The colours are beautiful and bright. I especially love the movement in the water. The composition is nicely blanced. If I find the time I would really love to paint this...would you allow me to? Thank you so much, TD for affirming review. Sometimes, the result of the contest is so odd. Like the Texture Contest. I was looking forward for that entry "Profile View" to win, it was just so perfect, but it only get 1 vote. At least this one made it to the honorable mention. Yes, feel free to paint this when you have time.

It is indeed a beautiful water lily you have pictured here, and the light is falling on it in such a lovely way. You have captured such a fine shine in water, and also the droplets on the lily pads.

The flower is standing out sharp and well defined against the background, and the exposure and white balance is perfect. The colors are crisp and clear.

The cropping is fine, and the flower has got a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This Water Lily is gorgeous. Her colors are fascinating. The blossom seems to glow with inner light. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. Water lilies are one of my favorite flowers to depict this is so beautiful. I painted one and acrylics years ago it's one of my favorite pieces.
