This is a well done painting with a lot of detail. It must have taken you some time to make. I like all the jars bottles spray cans etcetera as they all present well. My eye is drawn to the green bottle of wine. As well as to the can with the brushes in it. Then the bottle of soap and the piece of tree branch. That little bit of twine curling towards the cork of the wine bottle says something special and hidden.
Very good painting overall.

well thank goodness i had a 6 star still in my arsenal. lol..you know in your past post, i could tell in some of your abstracts of detailed work behind the abstracts colors. it was like the viewer was in a dream. well here the image wakes up the viewer to be wowed the details that you have been hiding. like i said in past reviews...cool illusion. the details is excellent. the product forms on the shelf is realistic and just awesome. the depth is excellent. the shading is excellent. the blend of the colors is excellent. the presentation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. btw did you catch my announcement on :call to artist" for a project? so very creative and awesome work overall(standing clapping and cheering) wooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhoooooooooooooooooo!

??? I'm sorry Ray! I don't know how I missed it but cool that you want too!! This one I'm looking for any rockers over the ages..from 50's onto present. Now this one will accept from photo to artwork. Do you have anything like that so far? If not are you interested creating something for that topic? Let me know what you think..(thumbs up)

I am sitting here in awe as I study this one , looking at the shelves in the cabinet and the items that are placed there , I am amazed at how realistic each object looks , it's such an interesting collection of things placed on the shelf, look at the details! That off white bottle on the right with the label and the pop up top and the way you show the shape and dimensions is incredible, it makes me think of a bottle of dishwashing liquid .the artichoke jar and that jar with the clasp , I even see a roll of duct tape over on the left, a can of spray paint , coffee can to hold the paint brushes , a couple of wine bottles , these items are so well arranged, I feel like I could reach in and carefully pick them up .
Excellent choice and application of the colors , excellent show of the light and shadows, this is so much fun to look at Ray! I can't wait to show this to my husband !

Wow, Pat, this is a wonderful review, I am so happy that you enjoyed this piece, this is the best complement and I am so grateful. Yes , it is a dish liquid bottle I used for cleaning glass. I was in the garage, that I turned into a studio/work shop and I wanted to start oil painting, something I hadn't done in years. I looked at the shelf and recognized a challenge. I put two long artist brushes into the Saverin coffee container and moved the duct tape and I went for it. I won first place in a juried art contest in northern Long Island with it and that is the story. Thank you again, also for the generous rating. Ray

what a great still life glass can be tricky when rendering it but you have done a fine job here so can plastic be challenging but you have handled it perfectly fine work here

Thank you Tracey, thank you for the wonderful review and the thoughtful rating. I did my time in realism and I enjoyed the challenge and I found other things also. This an older piece and I enjoyed doing it. Oils need patience and knowhow. Long drying time, acrylics fit the bill better for me. I am very happy that you enjoy this piece. Thank you again. Ray
