This is quite an original entry into a contest like this, and I especially like how well you have done the water with the light shining through it from the top. Good idea to place the frog in this area.
The bass is done paying a very good attention to details, and I also like the addition of the small fish swimming along. The color pallet you have used is perfect.
The format and framing is very good, and I think it is a fine balance in the composition. This is a lovely and well done digital creation Allan, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I know exactly what you are talking about. A big bass can make quite a dramatic scene as it hits the surface, comes completely out of the water and crashes back in.
Great digital art here with anticipated action. The colors used are realistic.

Thanks for the comments. Sometimes on a still night out in a canoe they come out of nowhere and startle you. I cast in their direction but the don't often do it again with my bait.
