This is a very pretty picture of this beautiful bird! It is in great focus with good lighting! I like the blurred background, it really makes the bird stand out! GREAT job!

Hi Jodi, I'd be doing the same thing with the seeds. LOL Love how you caught this Jay with his mouth slightly open, I think I can see the seed in there! The focus is amazing and the light is just right. Love the bit of personality of the bird that comes thru in this shot. I definitely had fun viewing it! I wish I had a six to bless this with. It's a great shot! Thanks for sharing and Good luck in the Contest! :o) Nancy

Jodi,
A beautiful picture of the California Scrub Jay with a Sunflower seed in it's beak as it watches you from it's perch on the stone wall. The sun catching the sparkle in it's eye whilw highlighting it's plumage. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A good looking entry into the competition posted here! Your fine and classical composition offers us an enjoyable view of that lovely bird. Colours, textures and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

A beautiful bird picture, and I am wondering how you got this special position as he seems to sit on the tree, and you are at the same position, which is excellent again and your mixed media application with all these different sections are special, but the black around the space is shifting it into the night as the heaven is blue which I love very much, I love this bird very much as he has the same color as the heaven lol , well done again, xoxo

A bird we don't see here so always nice to check out something different. I like the pose captured and the colors appear very realistic. Not as keen on vignette as I find it distracting but that is personal taste. Cheers

A fine looking western bluejay. They are quite different from the ones we have out east. A very nice shot with good detail and nice colors. I think you are a bit heavy handed with the vignette though.
