Una pintura que nos cuenta una historia común para todos los marineros, tanto actuales como pasados... todos los peligros que representan y como la fuerza de la naturaleza no se detiene ante nadie

Can't understand you language. Why the half point off? Thanks. No entiendo esta baja calificación injusta.

Another gorgeous painting of yours. I think you did really well on the water, and all of the fine colors of the sails are amazing. You also got the angle of the boat just right, beautiful work!

This is a wonderful rendition of the antique painting using artist Ralph Conventry as a guide. Nice detail and colors. A great water contest entry. You have captured a beautiful sea and fabulous ship. Good luck in the contest.

Glena, you've done a wonderful job drawing the ship in clear detail. I've always been intimidated to draw ships. You have inspired me I like to detail in your water and sky as well. There's always some thing about seascapes that intrigue me. You can't mess up the sky because they're always so different. And that makes them fun to paint. You do the excellent job

For me the highlight of this painting is the use of colors. The warm colors of the sky and sail contrast to he cool blue and green colors of the seas.

This is a very dynamic shot with the choppy waves and wind in the sails. Excellent.

I would have preferred the horizon was a little more level.

Thank you. I looked at another ship (of course) by Coventry for the horizon, whole work, cropped out the smaller distant ship. I think the drawing and painting of the ship and sails is most realistic. I did it not long after I took some art classes, but have drawn much of my earlier life. I'm ever learning and hardly ever satisfied with my work. Thanks so much for your support and suggestions. Means a lot to me.

Beautifully rendered work. Like the nuanced colors of all elements. Great movement of the water and ship. Great attention to detail and wonderful color selection, very subdued adding to the realism and mood.

What a beautiful painting! The detail in the art is great. I like the way you blended your colors in the sky and the sea. I would have liked to see the colors more bright and brilliant, but that is just me.

Thank you so much artist friend mamamary. I hadn't from you in a while; always enjoy your artwork. I believe the one I had uploaded before I reloaded this to show more water, was more vibrant. I had cropped it. But, I really thank you for your review and encouragement.

Nicely done. Deserves to be Recognized and an All Time Best. Good luck in the contest. Love the colors and the ship is just perfect on the water. The color is just great and the moving waves are spot on. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, artist friend Chuck. I really do appreciate your reviewing as well as your kind words. I don't know how they choose artwork of the month or other, if someone nominates, or how. I've received "All Time Best" toward my portfolio, in numbers. Really appreciate your support.

beautiful work throughout both in the subject and the surrounding skies and sea.The subject has been composed well within the canvas and despite the subject being central rather than off centre it still portrays movement ..good work

Thank you, thank you for reviewing, your wonderful comments, and the high rating, artist Neilnap. I really appreciate it. Please note I painted after drawing the ship with a little more space on its right, the viewer's left. Thanks again and for the helpful input.
