amazing castles and buildings they have down the Rhine. I also once went on a bus trip but passed through on my way down to my old children's homes in Bavaria and on my way to /one yr German Language - Leipzig University from my Uni UEL which was its sister-Uni. I doubt we will ever have buildings like that again? Although we are very lucky and Sheffield is filled with trees and parks, I was commenting how badly designed buildings are now, for some reason, the council had put up a long row of decent but modern housing and stuck what looked like a silver bucket in the middle of them? Why? My son commented that most of these modern buildings will not last more than fifty years. Thank goodness, I thought! Europe is gorgeous, if it would only do what the States did, unite properly but each State under its own cultural guidance. But will they heck!!

A lovely capture of this fairy tale castle on the Rhine. There are many romantic castles here and this is no exception. I like your scene construction that you included the forest setting, it gives such a fine back drop. The picture is clear with fine detail and good natural colours.

This landscape castle is impressive. The picturesque landscape is intriguing. Apparently, the historic building is excellent restored. Your photo is perfectly focused and exposed and has good depth. I appreciate the sharpness of detail and the realism of color and light. The landscape is excellent composed. The castle is well placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.

A wonderful look at this very old castle from the distance of the Rhine River. I am amazed at how they built these incredible mansions on a huge rock and on the side of a hill. The dense trees surrounding gives added interest and I am sure protection. All the best in the contest!

This is really cool!! It seems almost like a cliche the castle on a hill, straight from a story book fairy tale. I love how it seems like it was carved right out of the rocks. Great details and focus. I might have cropped the sky out however, the viewer's eye gets lost above the trees...or maybe make the sky a little darker to make the corners of the frame more visible. Still a great shot, thanks for sharing

Thank you for those wonderful suggestions I agree with you totally. I like the sky, I would change it. I feel the sky defines where on the hill the castle is. I work on a black background and it wasn't noticeable.

The castle is intriguing, I like the way it is nestled there on the side of the hill.
This is well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, the colors and tones appear true and natural. I appreciate the detail n this castle and the contrast between the castle and the natural surroundings.
Well composed allowing a good sense of this location. Well presented!
