I just wanted to say how fantastic this image is.. I voted on it even against mine in the mixed media contest.
There is something so peaceful about this shot and it certainly is an award winner in my book.

This looks as if Mother Nature herself wants to make sure that this animal won't be forgotten. Although damaged, the scull looks clean. It seems that the little blue flowers and green leaves are a blanket of transparent silk. Your photo is perfect focused and exposed and has good depth. The dark background emphasizes the scull exquisitely. The mixed media is well excellent composed. The scull is expertly placed within the frame. The composition is balanced.
