I like the simplicity of this shot!! It really tells a story, but leaves it wide open for the imagination of the viewer to finish. Nice, yet mute colours and the clouds are pretty. Thanks for sharing

I have been down many of those old rural roads with R&R tracks running along beside them. I wonder what the make and model of the 1st vehicle traveling this one was, LoL. The lower rating is due to the fact personally I see nothing particularly attractive or interesting. For me it would be little hard to tell the main subject if it were not for the title. Nice sky and the basics are of course all good.

I understand, I am sure I do the same in my travels and there is nothing wrong with taking what we find intriguing or different from our normal. I am glad you got to take the 66 trip. I crossed that mile long pony bridge in Oklahoma twice a day for many years.

A beautiful picture of long road it's lines & the telegraph poles leading the eye to the spot on the horizon where they all appear to meet. the highflying white clods in the blue sky add interest to it white the two white/silver chimneys are an other eye-catching thing on the horizon. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
