I actually brought a nest in the house and planned to do a time exposure of the hatch. Then I discovered just what a slow process it was. They chew and chew around the cap until they can lift it. The problem is sometimes they still don't fit through. They have to take long rests and get back to work. I'd tell them "Hey, you can do this" not sure it helped though :) When I say hours I do mean hours. It was work. My husband was not real thrilled with my endeavors.
