A person never has to go to a famous performer to create a stunning photo of a musician. This is proof. The background does make the photo richer. Nice shades of blue. Than the land.

Hi Nik, This would have been a great entry for the "I Can Almost Hear it Contest!" I don't think there is one going on right now, but if so it would have been an awesome entry. love the posture of the saxaphone player and the intensity of his playing. Great lighting and focus too! Wish I had a six left for you. This image deserves one. :o) Nancy

This guy is for sure working hard with his saxophone, and you have pictured him so well. I especially like how lovely the light is falling on the man, and also how well he is standing out from the background.
The photo is pin sharp showing such clear and well defined details in both the outfit, the saxophone and also in the wood of the pier. The colors look nice and natural, and the exposure is perfect.
The tall format is working well, and the saxophonist has got a fine placement within the frame. Indeed a great looking and well taken photo Nikman, and with an excellent DOF.
