Apparently I missed this one Jodi, it's obviously a good entry for this contest , it also shows that you took the time to look for the geometric patterns in an ordinary scene.
Well photographed with good focus, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors snd tones appear true and natural.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of the patterns in that fence. I would have cropped that leaf and orange thing on the RHS. Well done and good luck!

Very clever entry to the contest. You are so right about seeing the patterns of life without really seeing them. You have filled the bill of the contest and the rules of 1/3 - 2/3. The contrast of the green grass and the blue sky framed a bit by the tree branches fill the scene very well. Good luck on the contest.
