I could not figure out what this was from the small photo. I thought you captured a feathery monster. This is cool. The sunlight on him just is perfect. Maybe and I say maybe. The beak might need to be a bit brighter. What I learned it is nothing is wrong. It is what the artist or photographer wants to convey.

Beautiful. At first, I could not tell what it was because my eyes aren't in the greatest shape lately. Border line Glaucoma and I may have MD. Anyway, I had to pull this up on my iPad to view the image. This starling is beautiful. I would love to know how you caught such an amazing shot with glitters of sun on it. The wing simply glows and the shine around the eye is so pretty. The colours are absolutely gorgeous. What an amazing capture. I hope you frame it.

Thank you so much Linda! With the starling, at a distance and without sunlight it appears to be a black bird, when the sun hits it just right it shows it?s colors, sometimes in bright sun there are even iridescent green tones, here the sun hit it bringing out its colors. I happen to have a lot of these birds in my yard. They nest up in the eves of my storage shed.
