This flower is new to me as well, but the blooms are truly pretty, especially those with the almost white spikes. I also like the green color of the leaves and how well all the blooms are standing out from it.
The photo is sharp and it is such clear and well defined details to be seen in all the blooms. The colors are crisp and clear, and the exposure is perfect.
The photo is nicely cropped and the blooms are well placed within the frame. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo Allan, and with an excellent DOF. I wish you luck with the contest.
