Cute little squirrel and well captured with good composition. The focus on eye is sharp and colors are natural. Very different coloring to the indigenous red squirrels.

    Mary,
Thanks a million for your complementary review on this American Grey Squirrel...the first Grey Squirrel was introduced to Ireland as a wedding gift in Co. Longford in 1911 & have since increased to the detriment of the native Red Squirrel. This year they have reintroduced the Pinemarten. The native Red Squirrel knows how to deal with the Pinemarten... While the Grey does not & is more likely to be killed by it. The Reds are starting to increase in numbers.

Pleased to hear they have introduced a predator and hopefully that will get the balance back for the indigenous animals. They introduced the cane toad in Qld to control Sugar Cane beetle unfortunately it has killed a lot of our native animals and has no predator to keep it under control and is now moving across the country.

    Mary,
The Pinemarten was killed out during the last century, which explains why the Red Squirrels knew how to deal with is reintroduction while the American Grey did not.

I think it's wonderful that the squirrel mother visits your garden, she feels safe there. She is adorable , she appears to be so alert , I like the position of her bushy tail.
Well focused, this image is clear, exposure is correct, colors and tones appear natural. She stands out from the natural surroundings, I hope she brings her babies around !
Well presented!
