With fine draftsmanship and handling of the medium, you have created a fine-looking
portrait, which is classical in its composition. The atmospheric light is playing an important role. Well done!

I like the use of darks and lights
The the different tones of grays ob the face because I can see shapes that help create the face and hair. The background as a nice light tone wurh with shading giving a backlite effect. The eye has great detail.

This is so graceful and conveys a sense of peace
and elegance. It is well proportioned and realistic
yet somewhat surreal. It does look like a sculpture and captures the smooth lines and shadows of a sculpture.

Very nice work I enjoy sculpture and well as drawing this has the best of both worlds in it. A very delightful drawing. It looks as thought she is looking at something so memorizing it's absolutely beautiful.

This is spectacular! Excellent exhibit of lights and darks. Great detail and form. A true work of art with pencil as your tool. A great contest entry. I enlarged it to see the full effects of your intricate work. Truly remarkable. Best of luck in the contest!

A very skilful pencil drawing of Charles Umlauf's Seated Batham Head in Bronze.
Your skilful shading gives your drawing the three dimensional appearance.

Congratulations on achieving a nice structure to your presentation. The control of your light to dark tones has been achieved beautifully and as a result accentuates the depth of your subject.. well done

Thank you so much, artist friend. I could have done more light but I had it more this way as a drawing when I did it. Your reviewing and support means so much to me.

I think it is very good, not being an artist I feel you have achieved an excellent job of showing light and shadow with your shading. The sculpture looks very interesting.

Your welcome, she is an only child (IVF baby) but she has 5 cousins that are as close as brothers and sisters :)

This is a beautiful drawing. The angles are very well drawn, well proportioned. It is easy to see that it is a sculpture. The light and shadows add nice depth. The only suggestion I would make is that the grain of your pencil and paper are seen throughout. I use a polyester cloth, like the one used for cleaning glasses, a tissue or even a soft paint brush in small circles gently blends them in. It will bring even more realism to your work. Well done, thanks for sharing and all the best in the contest

Thank you so much, artist friend TD Traditionalart. I drew this years ago in my sketchbook. When I do one in present, I will enjoy trying your suggestion. Then, it was to be like a drawing with shading marks shown I think. I too, use stumps, zest it or other blending, but hope to try yours. Thanks so much for your suggestion, for reviewing, and best wishes. We learn from one another and I enjoy it. With some of my portrait works, I like them smoother and will try the polyester cloth too.
