The seeds of milkweed are truly lovely and you have pictured so well the fine shine in them. I am not even sure this plant exist here in Norway, so I enjoy seeing photos of them.

I like the close and personal appriach, and also the fine sharpness in the seeds. It is clear and well defined details to be seen. The exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping has worked well, and the seeds are well placed within the frame. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Allan.

Thanks Annie, maybe Norway is in a different climate zone. Here in Minnesota milkweed is a favorite of the monarch butterfly. Their caterpillars make a home on these until the turn into a chrysalis.
When the wind blows these seeds can travel many 100's of feet to reseed another area.

I love shots in nature like this. The milkweed is very similar to our fireweed, it is difficult to capture the silky white fiber on the seeds. You have done very well here, there is even a sense of motion as the seeds explode.
They are beautiful , well focused, the image is clear, exposure is very well managed, I can see the silky white fibers and appreciate how you captured the way they shine as they catch the light.
The greenery in background works well to emphasize the seed pods.
Well composed and presented!

Thanks much Pat, we also have fireweed in MN. The milkweeds are favorite (and needed) for monarch butterflies to propagate.
Thanks again for your wonderfully thoughtful reviews.
