It is a song called Calliope's Dream, and I can imagine that when she closed her eyes, she would see beautiful colors like this, and be inspired by them. Then being a muse, she would probably also be an inspiration herself. For some reason I can almost see this in your painting.
It is so full of life and light, lovely color combinations, great lines and shapes and of course great textures.
I also like the format and the way the colors are blending into each other. I think it is a lovely and well done painting Ray.

The word Calliope always made me think of Jesters are clowns. Maybe because I heard it as a clowns name. Didn't know it was Greek Myth but the title is befitting of the art. It as all of your art is inspirational. I think I receive inspiration from every artist I encounter and of course you are one of my favorites here. Incase I've never told you before you keep me wanting to comeback. I'm also enlightened. The meaning of the word is quite significant to us creative types.

Colours are magic and yes poetic.
