Cleo, You are amazing! I don't know how any painter can get such life-like details in their work. You do an amazing job! I bet Annie love your version of her work. You nailed the shadows and everything else in this image! If your up to it and feeling better I hope this rating has you dancing on the clouds! :o) Love it! :o) Nancy

your review and the stars are uplifting, but I tiil need at least a week to getting back my old self.
I once heard a story about a sculptor who was asked how he turns stone into a beautiful woman. He answered: I chip away what is not the woman. I basically do the same. I just paint what is the woman., :o)

I am not sure what you were attempting to do with the "defused" details for effect but I think it may have gone a bit to far. The Maid's face is overdone and has marks that are not flattering. I am not an artist and don't understant your notes on the altering of the details. Pardon me if what you tried to accomplish was successful and I missed it reason for doing it.

Thank you very much for your review and your critical input. I see what you mean. I think that I used a wrong texture for my digital canvas which probably caused the errors. I will start over, using a finer canvas texture for the painting, but it will need a long time.
I diffused the details because I believe that they were distracting from the woman.
Forgive my late response. I was ill and spend most of my time in bed

Take it easy and get better. My wife has the aftermath of Covid for three weeks and is trying to cough up a lung. Nasty stuff. We are finally on the mend, but it has been a long road. Take care, Gary

I think you did a great job with my photo making it into a painting, but it is a lot of pixels to be seen, and especially in the face. Perhaps the upload went a bit wrong.

Even if you have left out details in the basket and background, the maid is done paying good attention to them.

It is nice to see your own photo as a painting, and I think you did a good job.

I had indeed a lot of trouble with the upload but think it was my own false. I think that I used a wrong texture for the digital canvas. I will start over with finer texture but will need some time to finish another version. :o)

A good looking image posted here with interesting notes too! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of a lovely young woman. I wonder which country and era she is from? Well created!

There is outstanding work in the whole; a lot of realism, and fine fabric work. The face, however, looks blotched and takes away considerably while the rest is really fine work. I don't see the need for any of it to have been diffused, judging from the above-mentioned. But, then each of us has different tastes.

I looked before I read and said "Wow, thats Annie's Maid again." I got confused when I saw your name. This doesn't appear easy and you nailed it. Cleo this is an excellent digital rendering. I really enjoyed this, very nice. Ray

Interesting and creative! I like your recreation of avmurry's photo, it has a wonderful abstract feeling with fine mix if realistic details. Well done with a good eye for what works best. Thanks for sharing!

Wow! I remember the Annie's version of this maid .
You did such a beautiful job in your digital rendition Cleo, she is well created with accurate shape and structure, her smiling face with the maids cap, her white blouse and pink colored skirt is all so well shown here. She appears to be working with clothes washing .
Well arranged in the vertical format, well presented!
