Thank you so much Linda, I loved the way she sang, striped down and gutsy Jazzy and the Blues. She did a great job of controlling her singing but chose the wrong thing to lean on. She is gone now but her amazing songs live on to be cherished.

Sesha, thank you for this fine review, and I am glad you enjoy it. I didn't do this to comply with any requirements, I did it to pay homage to a powerful and gutsy Blues and Jazz performer who passed away too soon. Knowing that, I am sure you understand. Ray

Such a beautiful rendition of the late artist. She looks just as stunning in pencil as she did in real life but you've managed to capture a softness about her that wasn't quite as apparent in her living years. Lovely!

I absolutely love the simplicity of a straightforward pencil line drawing. This one is visually striking with the off-center placement, correct proportions, and the minimalist technique of not depending on shading to represent the source of light on the subject. Just marvelous to look at. Reasons for my six star vote.

The "wings" on the eyelids stump me. Is she Batman? Wearing special make-up for Halloween? Except for that mystery, your drawing is very good with lots of expression in her eyes, mouth, and hair. I like the miminalist features here.
