Excellent choice isolating the seed head. Always dramatic when done as a solo portrait.

Your camera settings produced a sharp clear image of a many faceted blossom - better than average camera work.

Color, contrast, lighting and focus are well within all standards.

Legend has it that God allowed the Sun flower to name itself. For this divine gift the Sun flower promised to produce 10,000 offspring each season.

This take is an excellent entry for this contest ... Bob

It is a truly pretty sunflower you have pictured here, and the light is falling on it in such a lovely way. I find the background a bit busy, but the flower is still standing out well.

The focus could have been even sharper so bring out more defined details, but it is nothing wrong the exposure.

The tight framing and the centered placement of the flower is perfect. All together a lovely and well taken photo, but in need of some adjustments. Still I wish you luck with the contest.
