I always have thought that were mixed media is concerned there is a corresponding loss of fine detail, this composition proves that assumption to be incorrect - Look at the fine detail of the petal crenulations. They almost seem like they are going to fall off the flower they are so bold.
Central placement of the blossoms shows them of brilliantly. The colors are strong and complimentary.

This is a beautiful floral image. The veins in the petals are visible and they look almost translucent. Exposure and sharpness are very fine. It is nicely done! I wish I had a six left, but due to a glitch, I lost all of mine.

And these came from your garden Annie, they are beautiful. I love the way you presented the tulips. You hinted with the background and that ties these two fully formed white tulips together, as they display so nice. The reds at the base are a bonus along with the highlight on the top. You have done a wonderful Job. They are so pleasant to look at. The best of luck in the contest. Ray

Wow ! The white tulips are so beautiful ! The tulip is a huge favorite of mine , I love the way you placed the two white petaled tulips within the frame , they step forward from the background so very well, the near tulips appears to be lit from within . The background looks like the inside of a tulip , I love the softness and the lighting here.
