Very clever use of postproduction framing to showcase these two beauties.
The temptation to just blow the center up would not have turned out as effective as this final result. The capture gives us a beautiful look at this pair doing their sharing thing. Great shot with a very creative final product.

An interesting presentation Pat, I don't believe that I have seen a filter like this but I really like how it gives such beautiful definition to the birds and their loving actions. The colors and lighting are well done and we can see fine details. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, the color and focus is amazing. These birds look like those painted on porcelain plates.
The pair are gorgeously centrally framed. The colors contrast nicely for a very natural effect.
The special effects mask sets this bird take well above your every day bird shot - Marvelous ... Bob

I think it is the creative framing doing this photo more than anything, but of course, also the lovely waxwings eating berries are really well captured.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in both birds, and the exposure is just perfect.
As already mentioned the transparent frame is working really well, and it is a really fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo Pat.

The use of mixed media to keep strong, clear focus on the main objects and the background filled with sticks and berries work so well for this creative presentation.

The colours are so vibrant, the image is sharp (but I wouldn't expect anything else from you!), and the composition is spot on.
I'm not 100% sure on your shape filter though, maybe if was a little bigger? Or the image cropped tighter? I don't know, but I kinda get the feeling I want to push it aside so that I can see the whole image more clearly.
I read the other reviews and everyone else seems to really like it, so maybe I'm wrong - or maybe it's just a matter of individual taste! Lol But I would need to see the 2 versions side by side to be able to finalise my decision - so the jury is still out on that one.
