Very up-close in areas and fine digital Macro work. The yellows are vivid with nice hairy representations in both the bee's circle and outsides. The browns, blacks, and grays are nice too. But the oval pouch, bug-like confuses me a little. Yet fine legs and work as a whole. Best wishes in the contest.

Hi Glena thanks for your review. I don?t think my updated version showed when you reviewed.
Note: I didn?t draw legs. I did do the mandibles and antennas. Mandibles considered the main mouthpart that worker bees use to bite or chew parasites, including mites and wax moths in the colony.
I?m not sure what you mean by oval pouch?

I don't understand anything about the techniques involved in 'digital art' but I always enjoy Insect Imagery and your 'macro' presentation of this Bee's face looks Great as far as I'm concerned!

Love your close-up of the bumblebee head. The detail is very cool with all the hairs you had to draw. The highlighted eye is pretty awesome too! No trouble trying to figure out what you drew. I think the image is awesome! Good Luck in the Art Contest! :o) Helvi

I don't think you could get any closer like this, because even the eyes would not show. LOL This is actually quite an amazing digital painting, and I especially like the fine textures you have brought out, and the shine in the eye.
The very tight framing works well, and the head is almost filling the whole picture. I think this is a great looking and well done digital painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.
