Congratulations on your second place win.

Beautiful photo of a blue bird here. Love the background colours that make this birds colours pop. Love the 3d effect you got with you DOF.

Awesome job.

Beautiful photograph of this Jay with striking blue colors and white belly. I don't get these here hardly at all. I think I have seen one of them only once.
Great colors, details and overall so pleasing presentation. Jodi, thank you for sharing.

This is a stunning photo of a scrub jay!
The detail you've captured in the feathers is amazing, and the colours are spot on. How lovely it is to see him perched on a stone wall rather than a bird-feeder, so much more natural.
Good luck in the contest.

These feather are very well lit. :)
He is posing for you and giving yo a shot at his better side. The lighting and color are sharp. The construction of the scene is well developed and centered. The faded DOF is very effective as it allows for the sharp focus to keep our vision on the star of the scene.

This is a great captured image. I love that you set up the seeds for the beautiful birds with camera ready. This photo is nicely presented with great colors and focus. Well balanced. An interesting subject. Nicely done with special effects.

This is an excellent picture that is well focused and lit. The background is well blurred and I can even see the sparkle in the bird's eye - well done and good luck with it

If I were this pretty of a bird, I would be seen every minute looking for seeds so everyone would see my pretty blue coat. You definitely hit the jackpot with such an attractive subject and gave this bird all the justice it deserves.

Nice photo with good detail. We are supposed to have scrub jays down here in Florida, but I have NEVER seen one. I wondered how different they were from regular blue jays. Now I know. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for your comments, I sincerely appreciate it! The scrub jays are called that because their main supply of food is acorns from scrub oak trees and there are thousands of them in our area.

Fine mixed media photography. The top of the sky is a pretty blue; the bottom background ok. Jay is lovely with those nice blues and long tail feathers. The rocks are clearly seen. Best wishes.
