Wonderful drawing Glenna. Great entry for the contest - good luck. Definitely deserves to be recognized. Amazing story. Love your use of colors and as always your technique is wonderful. Congratulations on being # 6. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I am an animal lover, and my 6 stars are based on both your painting and research. This painting is so good in every way imaginable. your blue ribbon is truly not enough for this masterpiece.

A very cute artwork of the tiger and cub with good detail of the fur pattern. The color blends are chosen and used well. Thanks for info on cub - our tiger at zoo is expecting so hope to see new arrival in January.

Beautiful work here artist friend! Your painting of this mother and cub is lovely with gorgeous colors, fine definition and an outstanding background. It's taking a lot of skill to show these lions in such a realistic way, your work is impressive! A wonderful entry to the contests, best wishes.

Hey there Glena!
I am really impressed by your art and how you have improved since I first started seeing your works of art posted on this site. The details and depth are nice as well are the colors. I like how you painted the background as it gives the illusion of great detail in the foreground. Really well painted and framed!

Thank you so much, kind artist Brady. I just recently went back to drawing and painting as health permits. This is my first animal painting in acrylic. I created the baby partly from imagination. Your kind words and high rating really encouraged me at this time.

This is beautiful , it's always so special to see mothers and babies together, no matter what species!
Here you show a beautiful tiger in a protective pose with her precious baby cuddled right up to her.
Well created with nice shape and structure , well applied facial features, you bring the tigers to life with your creation of their eyes. Well chosen and applied colors.
Well arranged and presented

Thank you so much, artist friend. I originally painted it this November to enter it in a wildlife contest, but didn't finish it in time. I really appreciate your reviewing and kind insight.

a fairly nice painting but for me the presentation comes across as too cartoon like and I am aware that painting with acrylic can be the reason behind this as blending techniques are very much different fromuse of oils where blending is more effective. The fir lacks detail but overall a fairly nice structure and composition of these gorgeous animals. Not sure about the multi coloured backdrop that is a slight mismatch and distraction to your main subjects

Thank you, Neilnap773; I had the background green mixed slightly when it was for wildlife. I wasn't able to finish in time for that contest so I entered it into another and changed the background on my canvas. Also, I had a reference for the big cat (flipped it, still had authorization to use) and added cub. Why the awful rating? I rate others according to the style, if in cartoon or whatever. I hope you will reconsider as I've received several "6s" for this drawing and painting.

I am sorry that you find the review upsetting ,however I stick by my comments and hope you find them constructive in relation to their content. I always take constructive critisism of my works as a learning curve. Happy painting Glena

Thank you. I do take constructive criticism as you do. However, I did paint more detail in the fur than the reference had, but it didn't show up in the upload like on the actual larger painting. Happens sometime, artist friend.
