Well seen and well captured Pat, not and easy shot to accomplish, but you've managed it!
The composition is good, the image is sharp and it definitely makes me feel very cold! Lol

Very creative artistic presentation of the ice on the branch. The black and white choice is so suitable for this show.
Green details and nice to view, my friend.

A good looking nature image posted here! Your fine and appropriate composition gives us a good look at that wintry scene. Exposure and sharpness are good. Nicely done!

I really like the simplicity of this photo, and also the all black background. The light is shining through the snow in such a lovely way, and it is possible to see the branch within. The branch is of course also standing out from the background in an excellent way.
The photo is sharp with clear details. You have brought out so well the fine textures of the snow, and the white balance and exposure is spot on.
The cropping has worked well, and the branch has got a fine placement off to the left. Indeed a creative, lovely and well taken photo Pat.

Isn't playing with light fun Pat? Great idea, I think I'll try that myself. If it ever snows again.
Best I've come with are some frost crystal formations on the garage door windows.
Backlighting is kinda like holding a flashlight under your chin while telling tales of woe and terror - but fun. This shot is a good example of the art of filtering light.
The light source is the key, even steady light like your outsides provide gets that soft as a cloud cotton ball effect from the snow - dreamy.
If contrast scale could be expressed in Binary this take would be 1 0, its that short. Color is pure monochromatic - absolute black vs pure white.
Camera technique is the key and you have a lock on it ... Bob
