Wonder who the female is? I'll bet the persuasive one is. They look like family in this adorable photo. You did a great job and the foliage around them is such a deep lush green. It's a fun photo and well crafted.

This is a lovely photo of a parent bird feeding its young. Did the mother bird move as you were taking it as her head is slightly blurred. Also, I would have tried to zoom in a bit more if possible.

Thanks for taking the time to look at this shot. Mom was still for just millisecond and I was a millisecond slower. I wanted to get her at the end of the feeding stroke - missed it by this much! If wishes could do dishes I would have had my 500mm. I had this lens racked out so I had to crop a lot.

Its short comings aside I just had to share this one.

Thanks for one of the best reviews of this take so far ... Bob

Bob,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Brown Thrasher with the parent feeding it's fledgling as they are perched above your feeder with the green Pine tree making a perfect background. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

This is quite a sweet photo of the mama thrasher feeding her fledgling. They are probably not as picky as human babies. LOL The pin tree offers a fine background, and the two birds are standing out from it in an excellent way.

The photo is also quite sharp and it is clear and well defined details to be seen in both birds. The exposure is very good.

The format and framing is working well and the birds are well placed within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo Bob, and with a very good DOF.

The brown thrasher is a bird that I have not seen before, it was perfect timing to capture this precious moment with mom feeding the baby .
I assume baby is on the left ,
Perhaps it's my eyes judging by the other reviews, but both birds seem a bit soft in focus, bird on right especially shows a motion blur,
Exposure seems fine, colors appear natural.
I like the arched metal they have landed on and the green trees in background. I appreciate the view of the eye .
I appreciate your notes especially that the baby went and helped himself to sunflower seeds from the feeder.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi Pat, Yeah, mom sure is quick. I go a few other shots of the 2 with a much faster shutter release. But I just couldn't resist this one. Thanks for the best review out of the bunch .. Bob

Beautiful foliage with the greens in their mostly two shades seen well. The capture of the cute Brown Thrashers is skilled and they are cute. The expression on the young one's face is adorable. Your title is witty.
