I'd love to see one of these in the sky, I bet it's breathtaking. Great little tidbit; it was enjoyable. Great color, detail and contrast.

This is an out of the park homer.

Super camera settings got everything spot on perfect.

Colors are bright and so beautifully captured. The contrast between the bird and the azure sky is so sharp. It makes the feather detail stand out so well.

Excellent camera exposure settings combined with a well framed killer subject in a pristine environment - it don't get better than that ... Bob

LOL - I like your sense of humor Fred, because this Anhinga indeed has a long neck. It is posing for you in such a lovely way, and is also standing out from the blue sky in an excellent way.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing clear and well defined details in every part of the bird, and the exposure is perfect.

The tall format you have cropped this photo into works well, and the bird has got a fine placement within the frame. A truly lovely and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

Fred,
A beautiful stop action picture of the Anhinga ~ Snake bird perched high in a tree in the Everglades, it's snake like neck twisted to get a better look at you below, the light sparkling in it's eye while the sunlight highlights it's shape & plumage & golden yellow dagger sharp beak the blue sky creating the perfect backdrop. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques& sharp focus.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that interesting bird and its nickname. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely done!

Im not surprised with a neck like that! Lol
A great shot of this very interesting bird. It's well focused, the colours are good and natural and the composition is good. Placing him on the right as he looks towards the left, you've left just the right amount of space on the left.
A lovely shot.
Charlotte
