Exquisitely done. Wow.

The details and sharpness. Your colours. The sky. I cant get over how a building can be made into an artistic photo like this. This is extremely good. You deserve a six plus on this wow. Just wow.

This building is so well photographed it makes me want to go visit it as well.

Stunning my friend as is all your work.

There were two wooden churches very similar to this in Kyiv, Ukraine. They were over 500 years old. I wonder if they are still there with all the bombing.

What an amazing and beautiful church!
You've captured it well and the HDR effects have made the sky behind stunning.
The image is clear, sharp and everything is beautifully focused, with good realistic colours.
Good luck in the contest.

Being a student of history and I love the history of my wife's ancestors. The fact that the thought of preserving this ancient structure in the 1880's is amazing. The actual photo does perfect justice to superb architecture and style of Scandanavian culture. The background oof the cloud strewn sky helps focus our POV on the multilayered structure. I would love to visit the site.

I have seen this style of architecture through out my travels in Greater Scandinavia. It seems like there was universal interest in building churches between 1100 - 1300.

This is a fine restoration of an early church. The hard Viking influence is well displayed.

The mixed media algorithms are sparingly applied so that the fine details of the carved wood portions is still visible - A masters stroke.

Normally architecture doesn't do much for me, however this is one to reckon with ... Bob

This is a beautiful piece of wooden architecture restored as it should be. Simple small but so ornate. The repetition of roof shapes and additional stories add so much to its beauty and your wonderful capture. Thank you for sharing this wonder. Ray

Annie,
A beautiful picture of this ancient church restored to it's former glory with each roof getting smaller with a spire at the top pointing into the blue heaven above with high flying thin white clouds. The sun shining down onto the Church highlighting it's beautifully constructed features framed by the trees in the background. Beautiful composition framing and lighting taken with superb camera techniques and sharp focus.

A good looking image posted here into the competition! Your fine, full and appropriate composition offers us an enjoyable view of that old church. Textures, colours and tones are good. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Nicely taken!
