Okay, I passed this up about ten times. I have to review it... Not because of the perfect strawberry slice on the left (very nicely done) but to say, "Do you really have to flaunt two different kinds of chocolate in my face?" (My doctor told me to stop eating it, so you are kinda killing me) I am just kidding, LOL :-) I like this better than your brother Delmoe. That is... I like this painting better than the painting of Delmoe. I don't know your brother Delmoe. Regards, Thomas

Thank you so much for your interesting and witty review, artist Thomas. However, I am glad I uploaded my portrait with oil sticks of Delmoe and spouse as he passed away a few days back. He was such a strong person physically, mentally, and spiritually. But thanks for all your indications. I really like chocolate too much. Happy New Year to you and yours, artist Thomas.

Your description alone made me drool. Ohhh how I love chocolate and strawberries. The vibrant red and deep chocolate browns look great. The serving dish color is a great contrast adding such a nice splash of color. Very nice work. Looks delicious!

This is a well planned and simply scrumptious still life - three of my favorite treats.

I am impressed with the amount of detail you achieved, especially with the strawberries.

The color coordination is pleasing and adds to overall eye appeal. The blue of the plate breaks the color scheme in a contrasting and pleasing way.

A very inspirational still life. Now I'm hungry ... Bob

At first I thought those were tomatoes... both sound good but yummy with chocolate. You picked a perfect delicacy. Well loved by many. Great job.

Thank you, artist, for reviewing and your kind words. I know the one slightly behind the glass is so large I thought I'd have to be careful or it would definitely look like a tomato. Happy New Year full of good health and prosperity is wished to you.

This is a fun piece. I like your technique and I love chocolate and strawberries yum!
I think the sliced strawberry behind the glass looks very realistic. The plate is also done exceptionally. This is a very good attempt. Good colors and contrast. Good luck in the life contest!

This painting reminds me of something from the late 19th century, when many artists were doing post impressionism, like those paintings by Cezanne of the fruit on the table. I like the placement of the objects, and I feel a sense of geometry in the layout, especially with the brownies and the perspective of the plate and glass. I like the warmth here as well, with the orange, red, and brown hues dominating this artwork.

do go together very well. Vivid colors and full scene of ingredients. Details of the sliced strawberry are well recreated. The only question I have is either, the knife is very small or that is one giant strawberry. Either way, this artwork is delightful.

Thank you so much, artist friend Gary, for reviewing and support. They were large strawberries, perhaps exaggerated and a small knife grabbed to cut the last leaves (LOL). Really appreciate your input and work also. Please have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year full of happiness, prosperity, and good health.

I could completely see this piece in a dining room, hanging beside a china cabinet. Very good color, contrast and detail. Every piece you make I am amazed.

This is a desert for Christmas Eve. Not to heavy or complicated just some strawberries, wine and some fine chocolate. I keep starring at the wine glass. The shape of it looks good. But the light reflection to look like a round glass makes the real glass look lop sided.

Thanks much artist friend photoman12 for reviewing and your kind input. I did make most of it up, including the strawberries, the knife, and mostly the glass with the spoon in it. I did view a glass slightly and thought it looked a little lopsided; nevertheless observed it somewhat. Please have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year full of happiness, prosperity, and good health.
